The Latin Look Dance Studio was founded in 1992 and continued to grow into a flourishing dance studio.
We specialize in competitive Latin American and Ballroom dancing and also quality social dancing. The Studio is one of the most successful Competitive and Social studio’s in Pretoria. Our students are continuously participating in competitions, events and shows.
The studio supports charity dance events by entering numerous couples. Sonja Stanford (studio owner) also donated her services as adjudicator to the following events: Dance to be Wild 2013 (Save the Rhino competition) and the yearly Dance for People with Haemophilia.
Sonja Stanford participated in the first ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ series in South Africa with James Dalton and the Special Christmas Edition with Marc Lottering in 2006. In her last year of competing, she and her partner at the time, won the Gauteng Championships and came second at the South African Championships for Professional Ballroom in 2006 Sonja was also one of the three adjudicators for the show ‘Die Laaste Wals’ in 2009 and 2010.
